Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Services in South East Ontario

While most people with a brain injury need only temporary assistance, some need lifelong support. Acquired Brain Injury Services cover a range of activities that include rehabilitation, psychology, life skills and independence training, supported living, family support, and education for service providers.

The primary goal of Occupational Therapy is to enable people to participate in the occupations which give meaning and purpose to their lives. Occupational Therapists have a broad education that provides them with the skills and knowledge to work collaboratively with people of all ages and abilities who experience obstacles to participation.

Physiotherapy is the primary health care profession that promotes wellness, mobility, and independent function. Physiotherapists are skilled in the assessment and management of a broad range of conditions that affect the musculoskeletal, circulatory, respiratory and nervous systems.
