Long-Term Care Homes are designed for people who require the availability of 24-hour nursing care and supervision within a secure setting. In general, Long-Term Care Homes offer higher levels of personal care and support than those typically offered by either retirement homes or supportive housing. The Reports on Long-Term Care (LTC) Homes web site provides information about the more than 600 LTC homes in Ontario. The web site will let you find homes within a desired area and see general information about a home, such as the ownership and number of beds. You can also view the results of ministry inspections and see if there are any complaints issued against a particular home during a specified reporting period.
