I-MICT (Intersectoral-Mobile Interprofessional Coaching Team) Initiative

Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care through HealthForceOntario, this initiative worked to:
- Establish an intersectoral interprofessional resource group
- Collaboratively develop, disseminate and apply intersectoral decision manuals
- Develop and implement activities and resources to support IS, IP curriculum and practice development
- Assist in information and resource translation across health care sectors with respect to geriatric health care
- Enhance interprofessional education and practice to benefit older adults with complex, chronic and co-morbid mental and physical health issues
- Bring together partners from primary care, long-term care, community, acute care psychiatry, ER and specialized geriatric care for mental health, as well as consumers, planners, practitioners, researchers and educators
- Develop a preceptor/bursary program
