Community Support Services - Home Maintenance & Repair in South East Ontario

Description of Service

There are many community-based Provider Organizations (Providers) that can help to co-ordinate heavy Home Maintenance & Repair services such as yard maintenance, snow shovelling, washing windows, or one-time repair jobs such as plumbing or electrical work.

The consumer usually pays the worker or company directly and a Provider may help to arrange or "broker" such services if someone is frail or physically disabled.

Eligibility

The process for arranging care is different for each of the Community Support Services. Contact the local Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) to find out the process for each of the service options and whether someone is eligible for the government-funded services.

If the CCAC deems someone ineligible to receive government-funded services, or if someone wishes to make their own arrangements, they may apply to the Provider Organization directly.
