Community Support Services - Home Help/Homemaking in South East Ontario

Description of Service

Many community-based Provider Organizations (Providers) offer Home Help/Homemaking services which help a person maintain a safe and comfortable home.

Home Help/Homemaking services assist with routine household activities including menu planning and meal preparation, shopping, light housecleaning and laundry, paying bills or banking.

Eligibility

The process for arranging care is different for each of the Community Support Services. Contact the local Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) to find out the process for each of the service options and whether someone is eligible for the government-funded services.

If the CCAC deems someone ineligible to receive government-funded services, or if someone wishes to make their own arrangements, they may apply to the Provider Organization directly.
