Bridges to Care Long-Term Care Knowledge-to-Practice Workshops

Funded by HealthForceOntario, these Knowledge-to-Practice (KTP) Workshops were held in 2009-2010 in Kingston, Ont. in conjunction with the Building Capacity for Inter-professional Collaborative Care in Long-Term Care (BCICC-LTC) “Bridges to Care” Project.
The knowledge-to-practice resources presented at the workshops supported the implementation of Long-Term Care (LTC) best practices using a collaborative, resident-centered approach, thereby driving the following outcomes:
- Improved care and quality of life for residents
- Improved satisfaction and quality of work life for caregivers
- Increased satisfaction of learners and reinforcement of LTC as a desirable setting for education and employment
