What are Mental Health Services?
Mental Health Services are prevention, education, assessment, counselling and treatment services designed to help people who have mental illness and/or issues related to mental health.
There are a wide variety of mental health services available, focussing on, but not limited to, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, attention deficit disorders, schizophrenia, suicide, psychosis, youth and self injury, sexual assault, and violence & mental illness.  [Back to Top]

Specialized Geriatric Mental Health Care
In Southeastern Ontario, Specialized Geriatric Mental Health Care is provided jointly by the Geriatric Psychiatry Program of Providence Care and the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry of Queen's University.
Together they provide specialized assessment and interventions for seniors with mental health, cognitive and behavioural problems. The goal of the service is to improve the quality of life of clients by reducing the impact of illness.
