These services can be offered in someone’s home or at other locations within the community. Home and community support services are funded by various sources, including: a) Government (provincial and/or municipal) b) Donations to voluntary organizations (who often deliver these types of services) c) Private insurance or benefit plans (e.g. private health insurance) d) Individuals (e.g. by purchasing services privately)  [Back to Top] How do I Arrange to Receive Community Support Services? The process for arranging care is different for each of the Community Support Services. The Community Care Access Centre can always help someone find a Provider Organization and answer questions about the steps in the process of arranging care.   Some Community Support Services are government-funded, others are not. Eligibility is based on a number of different factors including someone’s needs and circumstances.  Anyone can apply to a Community Support Services Provider Organization directly to make their own arrangements at their own expense.   Contact the Community Care Access Centre to find out the process for each of the service options and whether someone is eligible for the government-funded services.
